Illegal Dumping Prevention Workshop

The workshop is free but you must pre-register on-line to reserve your spot. A free lunch will be provided by Benz Disposal to everyone who pre-registers.

Location: Kerr McGee Community Center, 100 West California Avenue, Ridgecrest, CA

Who should attend: law enforcement, code enforcement, solid waste management, environmental health, concerned citizens

Topics: The workshop will include a discussion surrounding the problem of illegal dumping and will provide an overview of Illegal Dumping education, mitigation and enforcement programs currently in place in Kern County. Participants will leave with an understanding of Kern's multi-faceted approach to tackling the problem as well as their roles in dealing with illegal dumping in Eastern Kern County.

Workshop Goals Include::

  • Increase Awareness of the Seriousness of Ilegal Dumping
  • Discover How Communities Can Become Involved
  • Identify the Resources Available to Mitigate Illegal Dumping
  • Leave With the Tools to Successfully Report Illegal Dumping - In an Effort to Aid in the Enforcement of Illegal Dumping Violations
