Sonoran Desert Research SymposiumNov 02 - Nov 04, 2012 at Borrego Springs, CA
This research symposium is celebrating the 80th anniversary of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and the establishment of the University of California's new Steele/Burnand Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center, and is dedicated to the memory of the late State Park Environmental Scientist, Paul Jorgensen. The Symposium is presented by the Anza-Borrego Foundation, the University of California - Irvine,and California State Parks. Additional sponsors of the Symposium include The Nature Conservancy, the California State Parks Foundation, Borrego Valley Inn and Borrego Springs Resort. You are invited to attend the Symposium, and also to consider submitting a poster for the Symposium detailing research on aspects of the conservation, ecology and natural history of California's Sonoran Desert region. The deadline for registration is October 19th and the deadline for poster abstracts has been extended until October 13th.
